Hi, I'm Alyssa

Welcome to my journal.

I’m an aspiring photographer, videographer, and editor based in South Florida (for now). I created this space to share my journey and work, thoughts on the creative process, behind-the-scenes stories, and occasional lessons I’ve learned along the way.

How I Got Started

Growing up I was always making little videos, whether it was by myself or with other people. Most of the time I didn’t really know where they were going and would make them up along the way, but there was something about the filming process and then putting the pieces together in editing that I loved.

I was constantly trying to learn new editing tricks and still remember the first time I learned about masking. I made a little video with just myself, but was able to have 2 of me, thanks to my new skill. It wasn’t perfect and you could definitely tell that it was edited, however, that didn’t really bother me because it just made me to want to do more and see what else was possible.

Somewhere along the way I stopped.

But, the passion for photography and editing never left.

Why This Journal Exists

I want to have a space where I am able to share my thoughts and experiences throughout my journey. While I don’t have a planned schedule or plan for this section yet, I’m hoping that one day it can be a resource for others to dig through and learn from.
